When Desmond Collins finally locates Judah Zachary's decapitated body in a secret underground chamber hidden under an unmarked gravestone, he goes to the Blue Whale and enlists the help of a fisherman named Tim who discovers the jeweled mask in the cross-impaled coffin containing the body. "Diamonds! Emeralds! This must be worth a fortune!"
Barnabas Collins is destroyed, or is he? A mysterious stranger appears claiming to be a victim of Barnabas Collins. But he is identical in appearance to Barnabas! Is this stranger really Barnabas crafting an unbelievable tale? Quentin and Edward Collins are suspicious and drag him to the cave to check Barnabas's coffin. If the coffin is empty, they will know the stranger's story is a lie, and that he is really Barnabas! But in the cave, they find the body of Barnabas Collins still in its coffin with a stake driven through its heart! Can the mysterious stranger's story be true?
This is actually a drawing of Count Petofi, yes Count Petofi, after he has stolen Quentin Collins's body! Now that Count Petofi's mind occupies Quentin Collins's body (and of course Quentin Collins's mind occupies Count Petofi's body), and along with retaining the power of his hand, Count Petofi can finally fulfill his plan to travel to the future, to the year 1969!
I've been obsessed with Dark Shadows lately, the original TV soap opera. This is a drawing of King Johnny from episode 827. King Johnny was a gypsy who came to Collinsport to reclaim the hand of Count Petofi, stolen by Magda to cure Quentin of his werewolf curse. In this episode, King Johnny holds a gypsy trial with a jury of ghost gypsies that convicts Magda. After she is convicted, King Johnny sets Magda free so that he and the ghosts can hunt her as a game. This drawing is the moment King Johnny finds Magda, just before Barnabas Collins steps in to save her.
